Reporter Curt Devlin loves sob sister Ellen Garfield but believes women are bum newspapermen. When she learns the identity of a murdered arsonist, he calls it luck. When she goes after the murderer he gets enough evidence to have Maitland Coulter arrested. She finds a bunch of not guilty ballots and publishes the wrong story; he eavesdrops on the jury and gets the correct verdict. 高中时看了一半没看完，补完后发现本片确实可称得上很多后来青春爱情片的模板。每种情感都拍得很活泼(也算是时代特色吧)，女主表现得如此“婊气十足”但是也好可爱。简奥斯汀的《爱玛》改编，原著虽没看过，但是看了下大概故事框架，这现代版改编至少做到了让人想去读读原著。女主的性格其实挺讨喜，至少在这类片中对得起这一角色的经典程度。Chick flick/小妞电影代表类作品。
